Königstiger Using Trees as Cover from Air Attack in Normandy

Königstiger (King Tiger) Tanks from schwere Panzer-Abteilung 503 arrived at the Normandy Front in mid-July 1944. The schwere Panzer-Abteilung 503 was equipped in June 1944 with 45 Tigers, including 12 King Tigers (Porsche turret), which were issued to the 1./schwere Panzer-Abteilung 503.
