SS-Sturmbannführer Kurt Hartrampf (second from left in foreground) inspects the hull machine-gunner’s position on a Tiger from schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 103 in 1944. For a short time, Hartrampf was the unit commander. He then left the unit to assume command of schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 102 in August 1944.
