Panther ‘533’ and Schützenpanzerwagen Sd.Kfz. 251 of the 5. SS-Panzer-Division "Wiking" awaiting the order to advance, Vilanovo area (Poland), 22 July 1944. The height of the Panther compared to that of the armoured halftrack can clearly be seen. The crew has yet to remove the dust cover from the gun’s muzzle, indicating that enemy contact is not yet expected. The picture was taken by SS-Kriegsberichter Ernst Baumann.
